BEACH DIRECTOR - Full-time Salaried Position - *FILLED*

​

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising and scheduling of beach personnel

• Preparing beach facilities for summer programs

• Maintaining clean and professional image of self, staff, and all beach facilities

• Organizing lifesaving drills/workouts/classes for lifeguards

• Planning and scheduling beach activities

• Conducting and supervising the Sunday Race program

• Preparing a bi-weekly beach payroll report

• Developing mid-season and end-of-season personnel reviews

• Securing beaches and facilities upon completion of summer programs

• Enforcing all posted rules of the Fayson Lakes Association

Must be at least 21 years of age; First Aid and CPR Certifications Required.

 

The Beach Director will take direction from the Beach Trustee(s), and/or the FLA President.

ASSISTANT BEACH DIRECTOR - Hourly Position - *FILLED*

 

Responsibilities include:

• Assuming responsibilities of the Beach Director in their absence as required for evening hours, days off, and vacations.

 

Must be at least 20 years of age; First Aid and CPR Certifications Required.

The Assistant Beach Director will take direction from the Beach Director, the Beach Trustee(s), and/or the FLA President.

HEAD GUARD - Hourly Position - *FILLED*

Responsibilities include:

• All lifeguard responsibilities

• Supervising and mentoring guards

• Supervising Swim Lessons

• Supervising lifeguard workouts and rescue drills

• Assisting Beach Director and Assistant Beach Director as needed

​

Minimum 2 years of Lifeguard Experience.  Lifeguard, Waterfront Safety, First Aid, and CPR Certifications Required.

LIFEGUARDS - Hourly Positions - ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring water and beach safety

• Enforcing all beach rules

• Participating in beach activities/events

• Maintaining beach facilities

• Participating in weekly drills/workouts

• Must be polite, respectful, and serve as a positive role model for children

 

Must be at least 15 years of age; Working Papers required if under 18 years of age.  Lifeguard, Waterfront Safety, First Aid, and CPR Certifications Required.

BEACH BADGE CHECKERS - Hourly Positions - ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting everyone who enters in a friendly, welcoming manner

• Checking member badges

• Punching guest badges and recording member/guest names

• Selling day badges

• Accounting for money at the beginning and end of day

• Distributing items such as flyers/schedules

• Selling tickets for Association events

• Keeping a watchful eye on the surrounding areas and informing the Beach Director or Assistant Beach Director of noteworthy observations.

MAINTENANCE - Hourly Positions - ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining Association property by performing Mowing, Weeding, Weed Whacking, Painting, Power Washing, Garbage Removal, and other tasks

• Taking initiative to identify and complete maintenance projects.

Must be at least 16 years of age; Working Papers required if under 18 years of age.
