FAYSON LAKES TASTING SOCIETY CARIBBEAN/FRUITY DRINK TASTING - SATURDAY, AUGUST 5th - 7:00 PM
We are working on another Farm Dinner at Armstrong Farms and will follow with details. For more information, contact: Patti Douglass - email@example.com
or Jeanne Horovitz - Jeannehorovitz@optonline.net.
The FLA Tasting Society is hosting "el Sies de Mayo" Fiesta at the Clubhouse on Saturday, May 6th @ 7 PM. All FLA residents and guests are invited.
To refresh memories, the way Tasting Society events work is the following; We pick a theme, you bring a theme appropriate dish to share and BYOB. We usually have a Tasting (optional & cost TBD) you need to sign up for so that we can be prepared and let you know the cost.
For this event there will be a Tequila Tasting. Please bring any Mexican themed food you enjoy and would like to share.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
R.S.V.P. or questions?
This should be a fantastic late afternoon and evening event at a most scenic Sussex County farm locale in Wantage NJ. The Armstrong family farmed this land since 1780, and today's farmhouse was built in 1843. The farm is roughly a 35 to 40 minutes drive from FLA.
Farmers, Jared, Corey and Sarah will welcome us with a most enchanted tour - upon which their knowledge of chickens and pigs, herbs, vegetables, fruit and mushroom gardening will come alive as we move into the night savoring what they have so lovingly grown and prepared for us. Following the tour, we will learn about hard Cider making as we taste quite a few ciders and sample delicious appetizers - including Sarah's canned relishes, and homemade pickled vegetables and fruits. Dinner offerings will include not only their own home grown vegetable recipes, but also a mixed grill of various meats, homemade grilled tempeh, and phenomenal breads from a local craft baker. Dessert will be served too - we are not sure what that treat will be, however I am sure we won't be disappointed! BYOB - enjoy live music by the bonfire until the embers die down. And should the night get away from you, as sometimes nights do - Jared said to feel free to pitch your tent and sleep in until morning....Corey said no tent is necessary....you can sleep under the stars! Either way - FLA Tasting Society will provide coffee and donuts - there is no cost for tenting or breakfast!
Please RSVP by September 24 - as the farmers will need a head count for food preparation!
This event is open to all - please feel free to invite guests and anyone whom you don't see on our email list.
Hope to see you there!
